The ECOPLUS series of packing adaptors consist of a column coupler and an empty glass body. These must be of the same diameter as the column to be packed but the length of the additional glass body used should be selected to allow:

• Double the volume of slurry compared to the required packed bed volume if packing silica materials.
  
  
• Triple the volume of slurry for softer packing materials.
