High Purity Silicas
Since its inception in 1980, YMC has grown in size
and stature in the chromatographic marketplace for several reasons.
YMC prefers totally spherical media in all packed column configurations
to provide high performance with long column lifetimes paired
with unmatched dedication towards quality standards and reproducibility.
Performance of YMC silica support materials is ensured due to
their homogeneous surface, narrow and symmetrical pore size distribution,
excellent mechanical properties, high purity level up to <
10 ppm and narrow particle size distribution for low pressure
drop. This makes YMC inert and chemically stable silicas ideal
support materials for YMC bonded phase chemistries.
Spherical vs. Irregular
YMC 3 µm and 5 µm particle sizes represent state-of-the-art
separation performance for challenging analytical chromatography.
Spherical silica and bonded phases for preparative LC, though,
are somewhat special with availability of larger particle sizes
and production capabilities, YMC offers numerous specifications
in the range between 10 µm and 150 µm at large lot
size production, in excess of 200 kg/batch e.g. for 10 µm
bonded phases, with identical selectivity to their corresponding
analytical versions.
In addition, YMC offers customised specifications for large scale routine applications,
even in multiton scale.
Long Term Supply
In order to meet increasing demands in analytical and preparative
chromatography, customers highly depend on a reliable source of
supply throughout a validated method. Therefore, YMC will never
knowingly change or modify an existing product which has any such
customer base. Any product improvements will result in an entirely
new YMC product so that one can use YMC with confidence.
Reproducibility
YMC guarantees a high level of batch-to-batch reproducibility
for virtually identical separations - year after year.

Lot
Reservation
Securing materials from a designated lot provides ultimate
safety in terms of reproducibility. And since YMC routinely
handles large lot sizes, long term supply can easily be ensured. |
